Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital

Treat. Rehabilitate. Release.

Who are they?

Since 1971, Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital (formerly known as ‘Brent Lodge Bird & Wildlife Trust’) has dedicated its resources to caring for wild birds and mammals who need help

Based in West Sussex, the Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital team cares for more than 3,000 wildlife patients every year, with birds and mammals brought to them due to injuries, illnesses, and habitat loss.

What do they do?

Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital treats a wide range of species following incidents like road traffic collisions, attacks by domestic pets, and garden injuries. Additionally, the hospital provides specialist care all-year-round for orphaned wildlife.

Alongside treating thousands of wildlife patients on a yearly basis, the Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital team is also dedicated to educating and inspiring communities through school visits, group talks and outreach programmes.

‘Tails’ of UK Wildlife

Owing to the devastating loss of 19% of UK species since 1970, our ‘Tails’ of UK Wildlife campaign aims to promote the ways we can all protect precious wildlife.

So, we’ve partnered with amazing charities, like Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital, to shine a light on the plight of UK wildlife and the ways we can make a difference. Through our £10,000 donation to Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital, we’re supporting the vital work this charity does to treat, rehabilitate, and release UK wildlife. We are also pleased to join their efforts to raise awareness about wildlife to the wider community.

Whether you have a balcony pot, vast garden plot, or anything in-between, you hold the power to rewrite the story of local wildlife. Discover what you can do to give a voice to nature, by visiting our articles about creating wildlife-friendly spaces and what to feed UK wildlife!
