2022 Animal Friends Comedy Pet Photography Awards

Find out more about the fun pet photo and video competition aimed to celebrate magical moments we share with our furry family members.

11th March 2022

This competition has now ended.

Love animals? We do, too! We know what pets bring to our lives, they are the gifts that keep on giving – from comfort and companionship to mayhem and mischief. But it’s the joy and laughter they provide that makes our pets so very special.

That’s why, in 2022, we launched the Animal Friends Comedy Pet Photography Awards! Our Comedy Pet Photography Award was a fun pet photo and video competition aimed to celebrate the magical moments we share with our furry family members.

What are the Comedy Pet Photography Awards?

The Animal Friends Comedy Pet Photography Awards called on pet and animal lovers to pick up a camera or phone to capture hilarious moments of their funny furry friends.

In 2022, there were multiple categories to enter. A winner was selected for each category, then an overall winner took home a £2,000 prize! Along with their prize money, the winner was crowned Animal Friends Comedy Pet Photographer of the year and chose a pet charity to receive a £5,000 donation on their behalf.

Why we wanted to be involved (again!)

We’re always looking for new ways to celebrate our pets, and after all the fun we had during the 2021 awards, we knew we had to get involved again. Plus, we wanted to help do even more to encourage the photographers, videographers and animal supporters of tomorrow, while giving back to some phenomenal animal charities!

Working with three terrific charities

Animal Friends donated a total of £35,000, with three separate charities having received £10,000 to help with the vital work they do.

Wild at Heart Foundation

Wild at Heart Foundation works to end the suffering of dogs around the world, providing a thanks to all they give us as companions. They believe that each and every rescue dog deserves the chance to live a healthy, happy life, free from the threat of pain, suffering, cruelty or neglect.

London Inner City Kitties

London Inner City Kitties is a small, volunteer-run, no-kill cat charity that rescues cats and kittens in London. The charity is working towards a city where all cats live in a loving home just like they deserve.

Dean Farm Trust

Dean Farm Trust rescues animals including ponies, donkeys, pigs, sheep, and ex-battery hens, to provide them with a home for life. The charity works towards a vision where all humans and animals are entitled to live a life free from suffering.

We’re delighted to give entrants the chance to connect with incredible charities, just like Dean Farm Trust – who received the £5,000 donation on behalf of the Overall Photo winner.

Together, we can help to make a difference for animals everywhere.
