Here at Animal Friends we are always on the search for great pet products to put to the test. We recently received the Dyson Groom Tool, just in time to celebrate our scruffy pets. Henry was more than happy to be our tester for this one, he’ll do anything for a good groom. Let’s see what Henry made of it!
Pet Score 4/5
Henry isn’t yet too sure about the vacuum so it was a small challenge to get him to stay still. With lots of treats and encouragement, this is possible. Henry realised he was getting a puppy pamper session and started to enjoy the good groom!
Ease of Use 5/5
The Dyson Groom Tool is super easy to use! All you have to do is attach the tool to a Dyson Vacuum hose and you’re ready to groom. There’s no fiddly buttons or dials, just a simple single thumb control that allows you to adjust to your needs.
Effectiveness 5/5
It’s certainly effective. Even with Henry being a few months old he’s constantly shedding some of his gorgeous brown coat, so the Dyson Groom Tool worked wonders. We can only imagine how effective it would be for bigger dogs with thicker coats. While grooming the suction is reduced. It’s strong enough for its 364 slicker bristles to catch any loose or dead hair but not strong enough to stick to the dog or cat. Not only does it suck up loose hair but it also captures dead skin cells so they don’t linger around your home.

The Groom Tool currently retails at £39.99. This is a reasonable price for what you’ll be receiving. It’s a durable product that will be worthwhile in the long run, so it’s definitely worth the small investment.
Design 5/5
It’s designed perfectly to do as it’s intended to. The attachment matches your Dyson vacuum perfectly, so it won’t look out of place. The spring-loaded trigger is perfect for changing the suction, once you’re finished grooming you simply let go and it sucks all of the loose hair caught in its bristles. It’s perfect!
